The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) became part of the Code of Laws of the United States of America (U.S.C) with the passage of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA). ITAR controls the exporting and importing of all defense articles designated on the United States Munitions List (USML) and requires the registration of all defense article manufacturers.
Since 2011, our firm has worked extensively with defense contractors and brings experience with registering, applying for licenses and filing commodity jurisdiction requests with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). We assist companies in setting up and maintaining compliance programs that protect ITAR technical information from foreign nationals. We can help your company with a one-time transaction or provide a review and/or overhaul a company’s compliance policies.
